Eleanor (Ellie) Marie Archuleta

Feb. 23rd 2009. (The same birthday as my sister Heidi and my good friend Becky!). She was born at 7:11, weighs 6 lbs. 1 oz. and is 18 in. long. She looks A TON like Brayden did as a baby. We came home yesterday. We are both doing well. She's a good baby, and is so sweet.

We named her after Ryan and I's Grandma's. Two of the most loving wonderful women I know. I was named after my Great Aunt Holly (my Mom's Aunt). I always loved being named after some one.

Baby Girl!

I called my OB today to see if I could come in and get checked. I've been having a ton of back labor pains and contractions about every 20-30 min for 2 days now. His nurse (whom I love) called back and said she had a better idea, how about we just do the c-section today. Evidently my OB was a little surprised that I had made it through the weekend and had asked her to call me this morning to see how I was doing and so when she told him I had already called they decided to bump things up two days. We will be going in at 5:00 to have the c-section!

Here's me at 37 weeks 5 days. A new family record (I even beat my sister who only made it to 37 weeks 4 days) Today I am 38 weeks exactly.Of course the boys had to be in a picture too.

Nesting

I have been cleaning and organizing every aspect of my life for the past three weeks. One of my projects has been organizing and creating back ups of all of our pictures since 2003. I've found some cute pictures I wanted to share. Really it's an update of all the holidays I missed the past couple of months.

The boys after a Halloween Carnival Grandma and Grandpa Archuleta took us to. Brayden wouldn't look at himself in the mirror until I scrubbed off the spider. It scared the crap out of him. Oh and they were cowboys for Halloween.

Brayden was the Joseph in his joyschool play. He was not a very willing participant. He hated the scarf/hat.

This is was the first Christmas in 4 years that no one was sick. It was A LOT of fun. The boys are at such great ages. Carson surprised me by being so grateful for everything. He even wrote Santa Clause a thank you card. After we'd opened presents Brayden kept asking Ryan and I were his socks were. We had no idea what he was talking about. He started to get pretty mad and frustrated with us before we finally realized by "socks" he meant his stocking.

Pictures of the boys after the snow storm that hit right after Christmas. The boys played for hours out in the snow. Than my cute neighbor Lilet took them on a ride on her alligator four wheeler thingy (I have no idea what it is really called). They LOVED it.

Uncharted Territory (a Baby Update)

These quick posts seem to work out well for me. I went to the OB today and I am STILL not dilated. It seems like a crazy miracle to me that I can have my first baby at 29 weeks, my second one at 20 weeks and dilate at 26 with the third and than make it to 36 (almost 37) with this one and nothen'.

I am so excited to have another healthy, fat baby that I can hold after she is born. That was an awsome experience with Brayden (whom after 10 weeks of bedrest, I had at 36 weeks 6 days)

My cervix is apparently swollen from the stitch, but my Dr. says that just means he needs to watch me closer so I am now going in every 5 days. It's a little painful, especially when she kicks at it, but at this point I think most pregnant women have one reason or another to be uncomfortable. My next apt. is Wed. and we scheduled the c-section for the 25th. Amazing, a scheduled c-section, that's a new one for me.

One of these days I'll have Ryan take a picture of my big belly and I'll post it. The baby has already dropped so I look different, but still huge.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses

Lately I have been trying to get the boys in the habit of picking up after themselves. (I am mostly motivated by the fact that it is getting incredibly hard to bend over.) Carson is usually pretty good about it, Brayden on the other hand is full of excuses. Here are some of my favorites.

My legs are broken.

My head is to0 heavy

My tummy hurts

I like my toys right there, they look cute

I NEED you to do it.

Daddy will do it when he gets home.

and my favorite. . .I'm too lazy, maybe later.

A Man's Valentines

We just finished up our Valentine's Family Home Evening. We made valentine cookies with blue frosting because pink is a girl color!

The boys frosted and decorated them all by themselves and Ryan was in charge of buying the decorations.

Aren't they pretty. I bet your mouth is watering.
